want to publish?
Fearless in Italy
day by day

I have a question about publishing; help, CD!

How do I submit a manuscript?
Do I need an agent, and if so, how do I get one?
I'm working on a book . . . could you look it over for me, please?
Crescent gets requests and queries like these several times a week and regretfully can't respond to them individually. But though she doesn't critique manuscripts or act as a publisher or agent, she does of course want to help and encourage fellow writers and would-be writers.
She does this in two ways:
"live and in person" at her Fearless Writing workshops (www.fearlesswriting.com), where the emphasis is primarily on writing and the creative process, not publishing, and;
through a document she finally created which explains everything . . . everything . . . she knows about publishing, finding an agent, the form in which manuscripts should be submitted, copyright, etc. She answers virtually every questions she has ever been asked about the business side of writing professionally, as well as some she hasn't been asked but thinks new writers ought to be asking. This document has the opposite emphasis of Fearless Writing. It's almost all about publication, with almost no material on writing and creativity.
You can download this document, entitled "The Publishing Rap Sheet". The fee is just $12.95 and you can order and pay for this by filling out the Order Blank on the DragonZbooks web site. Credit cards and checks are accepted.
P. S. For a limited time only, in addition to the almost fifteen pages of concise, practical, how-to information and the inside scoop on publishing, in a form you just can't find elsewhere, Crescent is including a second document at no additional charge. Originally developed as part of the course material for her Unadulterated: Writing for Children workshop, Isle of View examines how stories work (or don't), depending on the narrative  point of view used by the author. Though the focal point is in writing for and/or about young people, CD's perspective is one any writer of fiction or non-fiction, for any age group, will find very helpful.
